Edwina DeSilvestre of Edwina’s Errands, one of the fabulous members of my Ewomen group, shared these smart tips for hiring a pet sitter for your summer travel for inclusion in the GlamourByLBD summer travel series.

There are a few things you should do in choosing your pet sitter. A good way to remember them is to follow the acronym…PET
Prepare - Have all of the supplies (Keys, leash, food, treats, cleansers, etc) that your sitter will need.
Explain - Make sure that your sitter understand your pet’s routine, and has a way to contact you in case of an emergency as well as the name of your veterinarian
Take Time - Meet with your sitter (at least 30 mins) prior to hiring him/her to make sure that both you and your pet are comfortable. Make sure they are qualified and ask for references.
Follow these 3 rules so that you and the sitter will have a successful relationship.
