As much as I love the Little Black Dress, there are those who look and feel more elegant in white.  And now that white is a year round option, there are some absolutely beautiful options for white, particularly for the evening.  This ensemble is a great example.

For the top, there is the option of a white tweed jacket with a round collar or a crepe cowl neck sweater.  The tweed jacket (which is from the Linton mill where many of the Chanel tweeds are originated) has 3/4 length raglan sleeves and a rounded hem for a very soft and romantic look.  Further adding to this elegance and romance are the finish details, which  include a georgette binding all around the jacket. Wear this jacket with a winter white cami or pick an offsetting color such as black or red.  The knit crepe cowl neck sweater has a pretty lace stitch underlay detail on the cowl neck and a lace ribe trim at the cuffs of the full length sleeves and hem of the sweater.  The sweater is fully fashioned so that it fits very neatly at the waist.

At the bottom is the winter white twin to the black stretch silk georgette wide leg flat front pant from the black and red outfit. These pants sit at the waist with no waistband and a flat front for the most flattering silhouette.  They are designed to give plenty of room for the thigh and hip without giving the appearance of stretch pants.  The pants fit neatly and are easily tailored for a perfect fit because of a concealed dyed-to-match side zipper closure, and back waist darts.

There are many elegant options for dressing up on the cold and festive nights of the winter season!
