Today, I had the opportunity to attend one of the launch events for The Glow Project at the eWomen luncheon in San Jose. Our guests today were Sandra Yancey, the CEO of eWomen network and the “Big Idea” person behind the Glow Project and her two friends, Barbara Rubin and Marilyn Tam.
There was an energy in the room that could have even re-energized Detroit. Well, maybe.. It was powerful. The women talked about how they overcame hurdles and balanced happiness with success to meet their dreams. Is it hard work or is it passion or some balance? What’s the role of the failures in ultimate success? What you get is what you give…all important themes that were knitted through their very different takes on success and happiness. What is the role of love in success? All compelling questions. And the power of giving…all the proceeds of this amazing effort will be donated to the Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies.
